Flavor Drops: The Healthy Soda Alternative

In the United States, Americans consume more than 50 gallons of soft drinks a year according to the Beverage Marketing Corporation. The high amounts of sugar and other taste altering chemicals found in soda have been found to cause severe health problems. These astonishing facts are no secret; however, Americans continue to rapidly consume these detrimental carbonated drinks.

Negative Effects of Soda Consumption:
-    Soda contains high levels of phosphorous that decrease the calcium in our bones. The decrease of calcium in the bones leads to osteoporosis, and the chances increase in women. Phosphorous also dissolves our tooth enamel.

-    Soda manufacturers are the largest users of refined sugars. The high quantities of sugar found in soda increase our insulin levels and causes health problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.

-    Diet soda is even worse than regular sodas because it contains aspartame. Aspartame is the chemical used in diet soda to replace sugar. When consuming one liter of soda aspartame produces fifty-six milligrams of methanol in our bodies. At those levels methanol is poisonous and can cause ailments including brain tumors, birth defects, and epilepsy.

At Capella Flavor Drops, Inc. we understand why you continue to drink soda even with the knowledge of how harmful it can be on your body. What is the difference between the "RF" flavors and non-RF? For example, Cherry Cola and RF Cherry Cola?
